Becky’s journey into oncology esthetics began in 1978 when she was personally diagnosed with cancer. She often reflects on the moment she received the call from her doctor — a moment filled with overwhelming fear and uncertainty about her future. Throughout her treatment, Becky witnessed firsthand the profound impact compassionate care had, not only on her but also on her husband and family as they navigated the cancer journey together.
Her experience with cancer became life-changing, shaping the person and professional she is today. Becky found strength through her faith and her favorite scripture, Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me,” which carried her through one of the most challenging times in her life.
Becky is deeply passionate about sharing the life lessons she gained through her personal cancer experience, as well as the invaluable insights she has learned from the many oncology clients she has worked with over the years. She strongly believes spa and skincare professionals have a unique opportunity to use their talents and gifts to provide comfort, care, and support to individuals undergoing cancer treatment.
Since 2008, Becky has worked extensively with oncology clients while helping lead and direct two local hospital-based programs. She has also played an instrumental role in mentoring graduates and helping them integrate oncology esthetic services into cancer centers and hospitals within their communities. Today, Becky is proud to share that there are over 46 locations across the United States where oncology-trained estheticians provide specialized skincare and wig services to cancer patients.
Becky’s dedication to patient-centered care and her passion for oncology esthetics continues to drive her mission. She remains committed to advancing education and continually updating training programs to reflect the latest industry standards and medical guidelines. Her goal is to help estheticians become confident, knowledgeable, and compassionate members of the oncology circle of care.
