This two-hour class is designed to help you discover the different types of superficial chemical peels available, including glycolic, lactic, salicylic, and TCA. We will explore when to use them, their differences, and how they work. The class will cover factors affecting skin health and rejuvenation, and we will conduct a comprehensive client history, effective skin analysis, and the development of an individualized plan for your clients.

Instructor Bio: 

Michael Shuey

Michael Shuey is a celebrated Clinical Hypnotherapist, Arizona Board Certified Licensed Massage Therapist and Arizona Board Licensed Aesthetician & Instructor.

After receiving his Bachelor of Arts in Learning and Pedagogy from Northern Arizona University, Michael’s aspiration to make a difference deepened.

His commitment to individuals’ health, growth and well-being inspired enrollment at the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts in Tempe, Arizona. There, Michael graduated with specialization in massage, skin care, hypnotherapy, reiki, and craniosacral therapy. His hands and heart unified.

“I have always had a desire to discover the healing arts and continually thought about going to massage school. After years of telling myself that I could not do it, one day I woke up and it was time to make my dream a reality. The moment my first class started I knew that this was going to change my life forever. I love going to work every day knowing I’ve helped someone relax, heal and rejuvenate themselves.”

After several years in the corporate world, Michael fulfilled his dream by opening his own holistic practice in 2003. In 2012, he became the Director of Education for the Southwest Institute of Natural Aesthetics and in 2022 he joined Skin Script as the Director of Education as well as opened his own center, Unravel Education & Wellness Center.

Tina Buckley, Aesthetician, Lead Educator and Product Development Specialist, has always loved skincare. She was the girl who woke up early to do her skincare routine all throughout elementary school and high school. Inspired by her mother, Tina is committed to self-care with a holistic approach.

Arriving in Arizona in 2010, Tina selected Southwest Institute of Natural Aesthetics to begin her journey in professional skincare and wellbeing. Over the next several years, Tina mastered full body massage, reiki and aesthetics as well as to become an educator in these modalities.

What sets Tina apart is her extensive product and ingredient knowledge. Complete immersion in the product for Tina includes intimate connection with performance and functional elements, as well as how it interacts and enhances others.

Living her motto of “good for the skin & good for the spirit.”, Tina measures her success by making a connection and impact to anyone that comes within her reach. Achievement to Tina is uplifting and empowering other professionals to continue bringing their gifts into the world.

Recently Tina manifested her long-term dual goal of owning her own practice, Ritus Skincare in Phoenix and Arizona lead instructor, for Skin Script Skin Care in Chandler. She is grateful to do the two things she loves most about her profession while presenting her authentic self.

Cancellation Policy:

• Cancellations made 10 days or more in advance of the event date will be eligible for a 100% refund.
• Cancellations made less than 10 days before the event date will not be eligible for a refund unless the vacated spot in the class can be filled by another attendee. If the spot is successfully filled, a 100% refund will be issued; otherwise, no refund will be provided.
• We retain the right to cancel this class if the enrollment minimum is not met. In this case, a full refund will be promptly issued.
